I am thrilled to share that our paper, titled "Angle diversity receiver as a key enabler for reliable ORIS-based Visible Light Communication" has been honored with the Best Paper Award at the IEEE GLOBECOM 2025 Optical Networks and Systems (ONS) Symposium! This award is a tremendous recognition of the research and effort dedicated to this research line. I am grateful to my co-authors and colleagues, Maximo Morales Cespedes, Ana Garcia Armada, and Maite Brandt-Pearce, for their invaluable contribution and collaboration. This achievement belongs to all of us! For those interested in delving into ORIS-based Visible Light Communication (VLC) and reliability enhancement: Free access to the paper [here](https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.10129). It will be published in the Conference Proceedings very soon. Thank you to IEEE GLOBECOM for this honor! Let's continue to drive innovation.

I am thrilled to announce that our project HOLIFI6G has been granted by the Spanish Research Agency (AEI) under the "Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento" call. It has officially started now. This project, which I am leading as Principal Investigator (PI) at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, aims to redefine future wireless connectivity by integrating LiFi and 6G technologies with a core focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. We will be exploring holistic network designs and experimental validation to pave the way for greener 6G ecosystems. Check out the project details on our [official website](https://holifi6g.webs.tsc.uc3m.es/)
